In groups you will be asked to create or bring in an artifact to demonstrate the severity of the Jim Crow era. To accompany your group’s artifact you guys should work collectively to create a poster. You will be teaching the class your topic in a gallery walk setting! Requirements for each exhibit
Printed pictures on a poster or an artifact that respectfully represents an aspect of Jim Crow.
Each exhibit must depict a certain aspect of Jim Crow era.
Exhibit includes the “who” or “what”?
The impact portion discusses the “why.” Why was this person, event, or organization important to the Civil Rights Era (good or bad)?
Be prepared to teach to the class. More than just reciting the definitions will be necessary.
All group members must be able to present in case of absences. Know all aspects of your topic not just the ones you researched.
