Our country is becoming increasingly divided over the subject of race and equality in 2016. Riots in Ferguson, Baltimore, Baton Rouge, and Charlotte have shown how discontent and frustration can become violent. Police shooting unarmed black men have become more public than ever through social media and camera phones. Athletes have been protesting during the Star Spangled Banner, upsetting veterans, policemen, firemen, and the public at large. And #Blacklivesmatter has been a divisive protest group with heated arguments on both sides. All these problems need to be solved for us to truly live in a free society, but we can't solve a problem without knowing why it exists. Why, in 2016, are we as divided about race as we were in the 1960s?
Question: What is the biggest problem perpetuating inequality in the African-American community in 2016?
Answer: Typed essay with an argumentative thesis supported by evidence.
